To ship your orders online, you need to get shipping labels generated by Joom system that are ready to be printed and affixed to a package in your shipment. Please refer to this article to learn more on getting the JL shipping labels.
Please carefully read JL shipping label requirements and common issues. Incorrectly fulfilled labels cannot be scanned automatically, and it requires manual handling of labels, which cause additional labor costs and time-consuming work.
Packages with wrong labels will be returned to the merchant for correction. Packages that cannot be identified will be disposed.
Shipping label format
Now we provide multiple types of JL shipping labels. Correct shipping label type is chosen automatically by Joom system, so you don’t need to worry about that.
We kindly ask you not to create or use your own labels for orders fulfilled by Joom Logistics. Otherwise, the number of returns of parcels with such a label may increase.
The shipping label must contain the following information:
- Return and destination addresses including names, postal codes, phone numbers.
- Tracking number and barcode.
- Order ID, quantity of products, product name, SKU number for variants.
All information listed above must be fully provided. Make sure that shipping label is crisp and easily readable and there is no any section of your label cut off after printing.
The most common issues:
- Missing information. The shipping labels misses some components or text when printed. A shipping carrier is unable to process it. Ensure that the printed label contains all the necessary information.

The size of the shipping labels must be 10×15 cm. This is a critical requirement because your labels must be big enough to include all the proper information needed for the logistic company to deliver packages.
The most common issue is wrong label size. Using a smaller size label (i.e., 10×10 cm) leads to smaller scaling of the entire page. A shipping carrier is unable to identify and validate customer information and the barcode scanner is unable to read the barcode.

Shipping labels should be white, and the print should always be in black.
You can use matte self-adhesive labels or regular matte paper when printing labels. It is prohibited using glossy paper, as it reflects light, and a barcode scan might fail.
Barcodes is one of the most important part of the label. You need to make sure you position a barcode on the flattest surface possible. Also, check if barcodes printed fully and remain machine-readable. The barcode is not scannable if it’s too faint or too thick, so set the appropriate density to print clear barcode.
The most common issue is unreadable barcodes. The barcodes are not scannable due to the following main reasons:
- Labels are too faint or too thick
- The surface of the package is not even
- Labels have wrinkles or creases
- Labels are bent on the corner of the package
Ensure that your printouts do not have issues listed above.
How to attach shipping labels?
- Attach the labels on the largest and most visible side of the surface, ideally on the box top. It is prohibited using clear tape, as it reflects light, and a barcode scan might fail.
- Ensure that the shipping label fits entirely on the placing side and is fully visible and not folded over any edges, as this could obscure essential information or make it illegible.
- Make sure that there are no bumps after sticking the shipping labels down to make sure that the barcodes are scannable.
