How to Manage User Accounts?
With Multi-user account feature, you can create separate users for your teammates and assign them with specific roles. This way, each user gets access with their individual login email and password to the data only relevant to their role.
If your Joom account has been created for a long time, you should first activate the Multi-user account feature. Please refer to our article for more guidance.
What Are the User Roles?
For now, you can assign your users with three roles:
For now, it’s not possible to assign user roles for different stores. However, we plan to implement such feature in the future updates. Please stay tuned, and don't hesitate to provide your feedback via Merchant support team.
How to Create a User Account?
Please note:Only Account Owner and Account Admin see "User Accounts" page and have rights to create or delete user accounts and manage their roles. |
- Go to User Settings ⟶ "User Accounts".
2. Click on "Create User Account".
3. Fill in the User Info:
- Please ensure to provide a valid user email.
- Enter the user name – it may not necessarily be a user's full name, you can also use nicknames.
- Select one or multiple roles for the user. Each user can be assigned multiple roles.
5. Click on "Save".
- Once you click on "Save", the assigned user will get an email with an activation link – after they follow the link and provide the required information, they can access the account with their login email and password.
- On the "User Accounts" page, you can see the list of all users and check their statuses:
- Active – user account is enabled and ready to use;
- Pending – user account hasn't been activated yet as the assigned user didn't follow the activation link.

How to Edit a User Account?
- Go to the "User Accounts" page and click on the user name.
- Press "Edit" button on the right upper corner.
Here you can:
- Edit the user name.
- Assign users with new roles.
- Reassigned users from their current roles.
You cannot:
- Edit the user email. In this case, you should create a new user account instead.
- Click on "Save"– the system will implement the changes automatically, no further activation needed.
How to Delete a User Account?
- Go to the "User Accounts" page and click on the user name.
- Press "Delete" button on the right upper corner.
3. Click on "Confirm" – the system will permanently delete this user account.
How to Transfer Account Ownership?
Each Joom account has an Account Owner:
- There can only be one Account Owner at a time.
- Account Owner cannot be deleted.
- Account Owner can be changed, for that Account Owner need to transfer ownership to another user.
Only the current Account Owner can transfer their rights to another user. To do that, please:
- Go to the "User Accounts" page and click on the user you wish to transfer ownership to.
- Press "Make Owner" button on the right upper corner.
- Click on "Confirm".
Once the ownership is transferred, the previous Account Owner becomes an Admin user and can be deleted by the new Account Owner.
