Safety Gate (Rapex)
The Safety Gate (also known as Rapex) is a portal with information about notifications made by EU Member States authorities regarding unsafe non-food products offered to EU customers.
Such notifications are published on the portal (available here) and accompanied by information on the product’s non-compliance.
Please note that as a merchant offering your products on the Joom platform you are obliged to ensure that:
- You regularly monitor the Safety Gate portal and notifications published with regard to your products or identical ones.
- In case you voluntarily take down a dangerous product notifies via the Safety Gate or in case any of your products are taken down by the Joom moderation team, you must ensure that the same product or identical ones are not offered on the Joom platform and will not be offered in future.
- Before placing the same offer again that all the breaches notified in a relevant alert are cured. Otherwise, the product cannot be offered on the Joom platform.
