Platform Promotions
Platform promotions are promotions created by Joom. You can participate by adding your products before the deadlines. These promotions have specific requirements that must be followed.
You can also enable the Auto-Participation in Promotion feature to automatically participate in platform promotions.
There are 3 types of platform promotions:
- Regular promotions: Regular Promotions occur when there are no special promotions scheduled.
- Big Promotions: Big Promotions are special promotions that run once or twice a month and drive a significant amount of traffic.
- Huge promotions: Huge Promotions are the largest promotions of the year that drive the highest amount of traffic. For example, 11.11, Joom birthday, Black Friday, and more.
How to participate in Platform Promotions?
- Go to Marketing → Promotions in your Merchant Panel.
- Scroll down to the list of promotions. Promotions available for participation are labelled as Upcoming. Select the promotion you want to participate in.
- Check the requirements. Please note that Joom reserves the right to remove products from the promotion if they do not meet the requirements. Violating promotion requirements may result in penalties.
- Click "Add products" and select the products you want to add. There are 3 ways how to do it. — In the Product IDs tab, you can add multiple product IDs. Use a comma, a whitespace, or a line break between IDs in a series.
— In the "Select Products" tab, you can simply tick the boxes of the products you want to add.
— In the "Upload Products" tab, you can add products via CSV. Please refer to the "How to Use" section on the right for instructions. - Click "Add selected" and set up the discount size.
- Save the changes.
Important points to remember:
- Once the promotion's status changes to "Preparing," access to the promotion will be closed. You cannot add, edit, or delete products, and you cannot cancel your participation.
- If there is a critical problem with a promotional product, you can disable it. However, you won't be able to add the disabled product to the same promotion again.
- Some promotions have a special requirement of postponing any product changes. This means that once you have added a product to a promotion, all changes to the product will be reflected after the promotion ends.
- EDLP products cannot participate in platform promotions. When you add products to a promotion, the EDLP products will not appear in the list of available products. If you try to add such products using a product ID, the system will generate an error.
- If some added products cannot participate in the promotion, you will see the "Not Participating Products" section on the Promotion page. Click "Show Details" to check the details.
How to track the success of your promotions?
On the Promotions page, you can see graphics that reflect the efficiency of the promotional campaigns you participate in. You can change the timeframe of the graphics to evaluate specific periods.
There is a list of metric names below the graphics. By clicking specific metrics, you can choose whether to display their values in the list or not.
