How do promotions' discounts sum up?
The general rule for all the promotions:
If an order is shipped online and the logistics fee is paid by the customer, the discount amount is withdrawn from the product's original price.
Final price = product’s original price - discount amount
For the Discount for Subscription promotion: Joom provides a discount on shipping via Joom Logistics so that the total discount for the customer is 10% (including shipping). |
For example:
Product’s original price |
Shipping price |
Discount amount |
Final price |
€10 |
€1,5 |
€1 |
€9 |
The shipping price is not included in the final price calculation, as it is paid by the customer within the online shipping mechanism.
The discount amount is withdrawn from the product’s original price.
Final price = product’s original price - discount amount
For example:
Product’s original price |
Discount amount |
Final price |
€10 |
€1 |
€9 |
LTO, Discount for Subscription, Smart Discount, Platform Promo, Merchant Promo, Influencer program
If a product participates in several promotions at the same time, the final price is determined by the biggest discount amount among all the promotions the product participates in.
PLEASE NOTE: as the discount amount for the Influencer Program is 100%, it will always be applied to the product's original price regardless of the other promotions the product participates in. |
For example:
Product’s original price |
Platform promo discount amount |
Merchant promo discount amount |
Final price |
€10 |
€1 |
€1,1 |
€8,9 |
The Platform promo discount amount is not included in the final price calculation, as it is less than the merchant promo discount amount.
Discount for Subscription + other promotions
If a product participates in several promotions, the discount for subscription is applied after all the other discounts were applied.
Final price = (product original price - other discounts amount) - discount for subscription amount
For example:
Product’s original price |
Platform promo discount amount |
Discount for subscription amount |
Final price |
€10 |
€1 |
€1 |
€8,1 |
The discount for subscription amount in the final price calculation equals €0,9, as it is withdrawn from the product price after all the other discounts were applied first, even though both of them make up 10%.
If a product participated in the Discount for Subscription promotion only, the discount for subscription amount would be withdrawn directly from the product's original price, that way the final price would be €9 = (€10 – €1).
