How do discounts sum up?
Joom offers a variety of promotional activities to help you boost your sales on the platform. The main promotional activities on Joom include the following:
Smart Discount |
Discount for Subscription | |
In this article, we explain how discounts from different promotional activities are combined and applied.
How does a discount apply?
The discount amount is withdrawn from the product's original price.
Final price = product’s original price – discount amount
For example:
Product’s original price |
Discount amount |
Final price |
€10 |
€1 |
€9 |
In general, the discounts don't impact logistics. For online shipping, the customer pays the shipping fee. For offline shipping, the merchant pays the shipping fee. In both cases, the shipping fee is included in the product's final price.
The only exception is the Discount for Subscription promotion. In addition to the merchant's discount, Joom provides a 10% discount on shipping via Joom Logistics. |
How do discounts sum up?
If a product participates in several promotions at the same time, the final price is determined by the biggest discount amount among all the promotions the product participates in. This rule applies for all types of promotions except Discount for Subscription.
Please note:Since the discount amount for Influencer Program promotion is 100%, it will always be applied to the original product price, regardless of any other promotions the product participates in. |
For example:
Product’s original price |
LTO discount amount |
Merchant discount amount |
Final price |
€10 |
€1 |
€1.5 |
€8.5 |
In this example, the LTO discount amount is not included in the final price calculation because it is lower than the merchant discount amount.
Discount for Subscription + other promotions
If a product participates in the Discount for Subscription and other promotions, the Discount for Subscription is applied after all the other discounts have been applied.
Final price = (product’s original price – other discounts amount) – discount for subscription amount
For example:
Product’s original price |
Platform promo discount amount |
Discount for subscription amount |
Final price |
€10 |
€1 |
10% |
€8.1 |
In this example, the Discount for Subscription amount in the final price calculation is €0.9, as it is withdrawn from the product's price after all other discounts have been applied, despite both discounts equating to 10%.
