Product Groups
Product Groups help quickly identify the most relevant products on your Store page. If you don’t want clients to get lost in your big variety of products, create Product Groups.
Product Groups feature can be enabled for the Top stores only. In order to enable the feature, please contact the Joom merchant support team. |
Please note:We analyze the behavior and preferences of each customer to display products based on it. So, the product groups users see may differ from the groups you see in the merchant panel. |
Basic requirements for creating Product Groups
- You have at least 1 Top store.
- Only Top stores' products can be gathered into Product Groups.
- Products from different Top stores can’t be added into the same group.
What are the rules for the Product Groups?
You can separate products into different groups based on 3 main rules:
- Categories. You can choose only one category for the product group. Products added to the group should belong to the chosen category.
- Labels. You can give one label or several labels to your product group. Products in the group should comply with at least one of those labels. Refer to the article to learn more: Product Label.
- Brands. You can specify the required brand(s) for the product group. Once you've set the brands, products in the group should belong to at least one of the chosen brands.
Please note:You can set several rules for the product groups. Only products meeting all the chosen rules can be added to the group. The more types of rules you set, the fewer products will comply with every single rule, and the fewer products will be gathered into a group. |
Example: You’ve set a category and two labels for the product group: Category: Fishing Rods Labels: Hot sales rods, Mini fishing rods Products belonging to the Fishing Rods category, with the “Hot sales rods” label will be added to the group. Products belonging to the Fishing Rods category, with the “Mini fishing rods” label will be added to the group as well. |
Once you applied changes, e.g. new products were added to the category of products that have been removed from the platform, the product groups will change automatically.
